Beth is a graduate of the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago, an Iyengar-inspired teacher training program and a graduate of Mukunda Tom Stiles' nationally acclaimed Structural Yoga™ Therapy advanced training program. In addition to these foundational trainings, Beth holds a certificate of training through the Pacific Institute of Yoga Therapy for completing Yoga For Optimal Health, an advanced teacher training program on Yoga and back health, and is a certified Radiant Child Yoga Teacher . She is a supporting member of Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists. As a presenter, Beth leads workshops and series throughout the Colorado Springs area to support the education and understanding of the benefits of Yoga Therapy. She offers her popular Back to Health series several times a year at various locations, as well as a variety of Yoga workshops. As Colorado Springs' only certified Structural Yoga™ Therapist, Beth works with clients who have structural imbalances, injuries, emotional traumas and chronic health challenges by sharing ways to use Yoga to heal. She guides and mentors clients who are experiencing pain in their lives to develop self-inquiry, sensitivity and discernment skills so they can begin to understand the root cause of their pain and imbalances. Her private Yoga Therapy practice is located in the Briargate community. As a teacher, Beth is a creative and compassionate spirit who finds joy in weaving therapeutic themes into the classroom by using music, metaphor, breath, mindfulness training, relaxation methods and movement explorations. "The practice of Yoga changes us. When practicing yoga, we become more aware of our internal world. We begin to notice imbalances and habits that have been causing us pain, tension and stress. Through this knowing, a dedication and strong desire to break free from our pain emerges like a seed taking sprout. Yoga provides the perfect pathway to transform, blossom and thrive". |
