You are a flower with five petals.

Each petal represents an aspect of your being.

When the flower is nourished, it opens and thrives.

According to traditional Yoga teachings, we are multi-dimensional beings made of five bodies instead of just one. In sanskrit, a language of Yoga, these bodies are called Koshas.

  1. Physical Body
  2. Vital Body
  3. Mental Body
  4. Wisdom Body
  5. Bliss Body

Together, these five layers make up the Self.

Balancing the five layers of your being is the basis for Yoga Therapy. The Koshas can be understood as a map that will guide you on your journey back to wholeness and health. To discover your Kosha balance, click here.

As a Yoga Therapist, I view each person as a precious flower with five petals. Together, we can attend to each petal and support your return to balance, wellness, and joy.

May health, happiness and wholeness be yours.

Namaste,

Beth

Don't go outside your house to see the flowers. My friend, don't bother with that excursion. Inside your body there are flowers. One flower has a thousand petals. That will do for a place to sit. Sitting there you will have a glimpse of beauty inside the body and out of it, before gardens and after gardens.
